<span style="color: #222222;">Chief of Army Staff General MM Naravane visited Kashmir over two days to review the prevailing security situation. The COAS accompanied by the Northern Army Commander, Lt Gen YK Joshi and Chinar Corps Commander, Lt Gen KJS Dhillon visited the formations and units deployed along the Line of Control. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He was briefed by the local Commanders on the situation on the Line of Control and the hinterland, besides operational preparedness of the Indian Army. During his interaction with the soldiers, he exhorted upon them to remain for any eventuality. He further reinforced the need to be prepared to meet emerging security challenges effectively at all times.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The COAS also interacted with senior officials of the administration and Security Forces. He also met members of the civil society. This is the first visit of General Naravane to Kashmir after taking over as the COAS.</span><br />''  <br />
