Army chief Gen Bipin Rawat has reached Kathmandu on a three-day visit to Nepal. He is visiting Nepal at the invitation of Nepal Army chief Gen Rajendra Chhetri. Army Chief Gen Rawat will attend Nepal Army Day celebration as a Special Guest, which is being organised tomorrow to mark 250 years of establishment of Nepalese Army. <br/><br/>Indian and Nepalese armies have very close and cordial relations and there has been a tradition of inviting chiefs during special occasions. According to a statement issued by the Nepal Army, such high-level visits between the two armies will further strengthen bilateral relations and promote mutual interests. <br/><br/>Indian Army's 14 Gorkha Training Centre Pipes and Drums Band and 58 Gorkha Training Centre Military Band have also reached Kathmandu to perform during Nepal Army Day celebrations.<br/><br/>
