Army Chief General Dalbir Singh Suhag met the representatives of ex-servicemen yesterday evening to sort out differences on the modalities of implementing the one-rank one-pension, OROP scheme. However, the talks remained inconclusive and the veterans have decided to continue their protests. <br/><br/>Talking to reporters, after the meeting, Group Captain VK Gandhi, general secretary, Indian Ex-Servicemen Movement, said the Army chief offered various options to break the deadlock but veterans have not agreed. He said there was deadlock over the date of implementation of OROP. The government has been proposing to impose it from the current year, the veterans have been demanding it retrospectively from 2014. <br/><br/>According to the news agency, another meeting held at Home Minister Rajnath Singh's residence last night, which was attended by Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar and NSA Ajit Doval.
