Army celebrates Vijay Diwas in J&K

Indian Army Celebrated Vijay Diwas in Jammu and Kashmir, on one of the highest forward Post of the Frontier District Kargil at a Height of 14000 feet Indian Army celebrated the Kargil Vijaya Diwas. <br/><br/>Talking to AIR correspondent Anayat Ali, one of the jawan told that the Post is very strategically important for India as the post has a bird eye view of the important villages of the enemy like Bilargoo and Olding and some of the important post of Pakistan including Majid Post while pointing and showing the post of the enemy.<br/><br/>The Post was captured by India in 1965, but was returned to Pakistan in the same year according Tashkan agreement but was recaptured in 1971 by Indian Army and till than it's with India. Another army personal posted there told that despite of difficulties of snow more than 10 feet and minimum temperature of-30 Indian Army is there to protect the Nation and every inch of the Nation is safe. <br/><br/>This year Indian Army as a part of celebrating the Diwas on Large Scale and with the aim to increase the participation of most of the section of the society, started the Celebration of Kargil Vijay Diwas from 21st of July. The main function will be on 25th and 26th of July. People from all over India are reaching Drass Kargil to celebrate Kargil Vijay Diwas on 26th July 2015.
