In Jammu and Kashmir, army on Tuesday busted a militant hideout in Dachigam area on the outskirts of Srinagar and recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition. Official sources said army troops launched a search operation in the forests of Dachigam near Harwan, 25 km from Srinagar and busted the militant hideout. The search led to the recovery of a 60 mm mortar, an AK assault rifle, 18 grenades, 11 TNT slabs used in improvised explosive devices and a .303 rifle.The officials said other recoveries included five radio sets, one GPS, one telescopic sight, 32 AK magazines, four pistol magazines, one LMG magazine, 645 rounds of AK ammunition and nine rounds of sniper rifle, they said. They added, no arrests have been made in connection with the recovery.
