Today is Armed Forces Flag Day. Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar recalled the sacrifices of brave Indian soldiers on the day. In a tweet, he underlined the need for people re-dedicating to their continuous welfare. <br/><br/>The day is dedicated towards collection of funds from people for the welfare of the Armed Forces personnel. It has been observed annually on this day since 1949. Over the years, it has become a tradition to commemorate this day as an honour to the soldiers, airmen and sailors.
