Arjun Munda invited to form Govt. in Jharkhand

BJP leader Arujun Munda has been invited by the Governor of Jharkhand M O H Farook in connection with formation of new government in Jharkhand. It may be recalled that Mr. Arjun Munda had earlier staked the claim to form a new government in the state with support from Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, AJSU, JDU and two independent MLAs. Mr.Munda had submitted a list of 45 MLAs when he met the state governor on 7th of this month alongwith 44 MLAs. Mr.Arujun Munda will take oath on 11th of this month.Union Cabinet has made an appropriate recommendation to the President on Jharkhand. The Home Minister Mr. P. Chidambaram told reporters after the Cabinet meeting that they will have to wait for the decision from the Rashtrapati Bhavan. The recommendation assumes importance as Jharkhand was placed under President's rule after political uncertainty. A BJP led coalition has staked claim to form the government.
