Saudi Arabia says it has captured 149 al-Qaeda militants linked to groups in Somalia and Yemen in recent months. They were raising money and recruiting members to carry out attacks inside the Kingdom. This was announced by Saudi King Abdullah in the United States where he has been recovering from surgery. Interior Ministry spokesman said there were 124 Saudis and 25 from other nationalities. He said 19 of them belonged to Al Qaeda cells and were planning to target government facilities, security officials and journalists in the kingdom. They had associations with Al Qaeda in Yemen, Somalia and Afghanistan.
