Appropriate steps being taken in coastal areas as well as mainland to prevent incidents such as 26/11: Maken

New Delhi today renewed its demand that Pakistan should dismantle the terror infrastructure and bring the perpetrators of Mumbai carnage to justice. Talking to reporters outside Parliament, Minister of State for External Affairs Mr. Shashi Tharoor said that despite of constant dialogue and international pressure, the number of terrorist camps in Pakistan is on rise. <br/><br/>In a related development, the Minister of State for Home Affairs Mr. Ajay Maken said the security forces are maintaining strict vigil on the border and the Line of Control to check cross border infiltration.<br/>Referring to Mumbai terror attacks, on the eve of its first anniversary, he said appropriate steps are being taken in the coastal and other areas to prevent such incidents. The Minister said that the programme to prepare a population register for coastal state, issuing of i-cards and other measures are in place<br/>
