The Prime minister has assured the weavers that appropriate measure will be taken to redress their grievances. Briefing newsmen Uttar Pradesh Congress President Mrs. Rita Bahuguna said that the weavers met Dr. Manmohan Singh today in the leadership of member of Parliament Rahul Gandhi. She said that weavers demanded waiving of loan, issuance of credit card to buy yarn and charging of interest rates at par with the farmers. Mrs. Bahuguna said that the Prime Minister listened to their demand sympathetically and assured all help.
