Congress party today made it clear that it will take appropriate action on Minister of External Affairs Shashi Tharoor's comments in the wake of austerity measures announced by the government. The Party's response comes hours after the minister apologized for his reported 'Cattle Class' comment. Talking to mediapersons in New Delhi today, party Spokesman Mr. Manish Tiwari said that the party stands by the comments made by Spokesperson Jayanti Natarajan recently. Ms. Natrajan had denounced the comments by the minister. On Rajasthan Chief Minister Mr. Ashok Gehlot's demand for the minister's resignation, the spokesman said that such reactions are natural in the given circumstances.
