BJP today alleged that the appointment of P J Thomas as Cenral Vigillance Commissioner is not acceptable to the party as he is reportedly involved in the 2G spectrum issue. Talking to the reporters in New Delhi, Party General Secretary Ravi Shankar Prasad said that this appointment will bring disrepute to the constitutional post. The party has appealed to the President not to sign the recommendations made by the centre in this regard. Rejecting the BJP accusation, the Congress charged the saffron party that it has a design to denigrade and devalue the post of CVC. Party spokesman Abhishek Manu Sanghvi told reporters that BJP or any other party should not reportedly misuse the powers given to them.
