The Kerala High Court today ordered that the appointment of T Asaf Ali as the State Director General of Prosecution be kept in abeyance. The interim order was passed by a Division Bench comprising Chief Justice J Chelameshwar and Justice P R Ramachandra Menon on a petition filed by another lawyer, E A Thankappan. The petitioner alleged that the appointment was made flouting several norms.
