He said the Supreme Court verdict has reinforced the ideals of state autonomy and federal principles. He also lauded the relentless efforts made by Perarivalan's mother for his release for over thirty-one years.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"><br />'' The AIADMK  welcomed the judgment saying the party's efforts in the matter have fructified. In a joint statement, the party coordinator O.Panneerselvam and co-coordinator Edappadi K.Palaniswamy said the AIADMK Government's 2018 cabinet decision  paved the way for Perarivalan's release.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"><br />'' The state BJP president K.Annamalai said the party accepts the Supreme Court verdict.
