Three people were killed and nine others were injured in an apartment building fire in central Russia, local media reported on Wednesday. The fire broke out at a two-story apartment house overnight in the Volga river city of Astrakhan, sources from the regional centre of the Russian Ministry for Emergency Situations told Itar-Tass. According to a source, among the nine injured people, six were hospitalized. A total of 64 people lived in the houses and the local authorities were working at the site to consider resettlement. Specialists were looking into the cause of the mishap.
