Apa Sherpa to Climb Everest for Record 20th time

<br/>Nepal's noted mountaineer Apa Sherpa is all set to create a new world record by climbing the Everest, the world's highest mountain for a record 20th time later this month. The 49 year old Apa Sherpa first climbed the Everest in 1989 and repeated the ascent almost every year.<br/> Addressing a press conference in Kathmandu , Apa said he will carry with him the ashes of legendary mountaineer late Sir Edmund Hillary, who in 1953 became one of the first to conquer the Everest. Hillary died in New Zealand in 2008.<br/> AIR Kathmandu Correspondent reports that Apa will be leading the Eco Everest Expedition 2010 that will leave Kathmandu on Tuesday. The expedition will consist of 17 Sherpas and 12 foreigners.
