AP to constitute standing committees in Assembly

AP Assembly speaker Nadendla Manohar has said standing committees will be set up to ensure effective implementation of development schemes and welfare programmes in the state. The speaker who came to inaugurate a private hospital in Vijayawada, he interacted with the district officials including collector S.A.M Rizvi and joint collector Gourav Uppal at the State Guest House.On the occasion Mr. Manohar said he would meet the Parliamentary standing committee chairman soon and take suggestions from the chairman and the committee members. He also said standing committees which are the first of its kind in the country would be formed in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly. Stating that Government is implementing several schemes for the poor , the speaker said the committee will take measures for strict implementation of schemes and extend the benefits to the genuine persons.On the occasion DCC President N. Narasimha Rao Assistant Commissioner of Police T.Hari Krishna and others were among those who met the speaker.
