The electoral alliance between the Telugu Desam Party and the Bharatiya Janata Party in Andhra Pradesh will continue though talks over sharing of seats still remained inconclusive today.

BJP national spokesman Prakash Javadekar said in Hyderabad after a two-hour discussion with TDP Chief N Chandrababu Naidu this afternoon that the alliance is intact. TDP spokesman also confirmed that the alliance will continue.

The TDP wanted the BJP to part with 7 out of the 14 Assembly seats, the latter reportedly agreed to give away only the Ichchapuram seat. The BJP has also agreed to change its nominees in some seats where the TDP raised objection over fielding of weak candidates. A TDP leader said, talks are going on over other seats.
