AP: Seemandhra region fully geared up for polls tomorrow in all 13 districts

In Andhra Pradesh, Seemandhra region is fully geared up for the polls tomorrow in all the 13 districts.About 272 Central Police companies and 1.2 lakh police personnel have been deployed to ensure peaceful polling by the Election Commission.

In Naxal-afftected areas road opening parties are going to be deployed to ease the movement of the polling staff. 25 Lok Sabha and 175 Assembly Constituencies are going to polls under second phase.

Voter slips have been distributed to all the voters who have been enrolled with the Commission. The polling officers were asked to conduct a mock poll from 6am tomorrow so that any shortcoming could be sorted out before the commencement of actual polling.

In the backdrop of huge cache of liquor being seized during the past few days the EC has ordered for the closure of liquor shops and bars in all the 13 districts besides the neighboring districts of border states.

Police have arrested six militia members of the action team belonging to the banned CPI (Maoist) party in Pedabayalu mandal of Visakhapatnam district and seized two weapons.
