In Andhra Pradesh, rain-hit areas of the state especially in the coastal and north coastal regions are limping back to normal. People are getting back to their homes following flood water receding from several places. However, state Disaster management officials have said the relief camps are continuing to operate with about a lakh people still taking shelter at 270 places. Purified drinking water facilities have been restored at several places. Meanwhile, health officials are providing medical services through about 400 medical camps to prevent spread of contagious diseases and outbreak of epidemics.
