The talks between the striking non gazetted employees and the Andhra Pradesh government failed on Wednesday and the normal life was paralysed on 4th day due to strike.
Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy held talks with the leaders of all party non gazetted officers association leaders in Hyderabad to end the impasse caused by indefinite strike in Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema regions.
The striking employees insisted on a specific assurance on the bifurcation. Several parts of coastal Andhra and Royalaseema regions continue to reel under power crisis due to the strike against the division of the state.
The power generation remained crippled at the major power stations including Vijayawada thermal power station and the Rayalaseema thermal power station. Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde said in New Delhi that the Centre is planning to rope in NTPC and Power Grid Corporation to provide electricity to Andhra Pradesh.
