AP: Opposition stages walk out during Governor’s address

Andhra Pradesh Governor Narasimhan has called upon the legislators to be partners in the implementation of various development and poverty eradication programmes.Addressing the joint session of the assembly and council, he asked them to work together with the Government for speedier and balanced economic development of the state and for delivering the fruits of the same to the needy. During his 45-minute long speech, the governor has listed out his government priorities in both financial and social sectors.Protesting on different issues, the entire opposition including Telugu Desam Party, Telangana Rastra Samithi, Left parties and BJP walked out during the Governor’s address. Amidst noisy scene opposition walked out raising issues including statehood for Telangana and corruption allegations against the Government.
