‘AP ministers from Telangana withdraw resignations

In Andhra Pradesh, the Ministers belonging to Telangana region have announced their decision to withdrawn resignations following Centre’s invitation to 8 recognized parties for consultations over separate Telangana state. The Ministers have called on Chief Minister Rosaiah and conveyed their decision to withdraw resignations as they were satisfied with the decision of the centre to initiate process of dialogue.<br/><br/>However, Information Technology Minister K Venkat Reddy has not appeared before the Chief Minister to convey the withdrawal of Resignation. More over, he launched criticism against the Chief Minister alleging him of supporting the cause of unified state. Meanwhile, the decision of Ministers to wiothdraw resignations has attracted sharp criticism from different quarters.Meanwhile, the fast unto death by Kakatiya University students in Warangal demanding a time frame for carving out Telangana state has entered 5th day.<br/><br/>Despite Centre inviting political parties for consultations, the Student Joint Action Committee in Osmania University in Hyderabad is also continuing its agitation demanding a clear time frame for bifurcation of the state.On the other hand, TRS leader alleged that the Government has done injustice to Telangana region in providing benefit under crop insurance scheme.<br/><br/>Andhra Pradesh Endowments Minister G Venkat Reddy today said the AICC president had not conceded for Telangana state so far. Stating that misconceptions over the Congress Party stand on Telanganan issue are being spread, the Minister who belonged to Coasta Andhra region said neither Congress party nor AICC president has conceded Telangana state.<br/><br/>Stating that the party had expressed no objection for the formation of separate Telangana state in its Manifesto in 2009, he said the party had pointed out the need to resolve many issues as serious concerns have been raised by stake holders. He further said a committee of both houses of Legislature had been setup to deliberate the issues and concerns on the formation of Telangana state.
