AP Minister resigns from state cabinet on Telangana issue

Andhra Pradesh Infrastructure and Investments Minister Komatireddy Venkata Reddy has resigned from the state cabinet and also as legislator. He called on Governor E S L Narasimhan at Rajbhavan in Hyderabad this evening and submitted his resignation. However, his resignation is yet to be accepted.Earlier, speaking to reporters he said he was hurt that Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram’s statement did not indicate any time frame for the creation of Telangana state.He is the second Minister from Telangana region to resign from Kiran Kumar Reddy’s Ministry. Few Months ago, state Endowments Minister J Krishna Rao resigned from the cabinet but continuing as an MLA.
