In Andhra Pradesh, Civil Supplies Minister D Sridhar Babu has resigned from his post after he was stripped off the Legislative Affairs portfolio. In a minor reshuffle of the portfolios, he has been given Commercial Taxes department in the place of Legislative Affairs two days ago. Addressing a press conference in Hyderabad today, Sridharbabu alleged that the leaders from Seemandhra region including Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy trying to stall the process of formation of separate Telangana state with selfish motives.
He said protesting the acts that are insulting the people of Telangana, he tendered his resignation. Alleging that conspiracy is going on to stall the formation of Telangana state, he said no body can stop the formation of Telanagna.
The changes in portfolios gained significance when the Assembly is to take the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Bill for discussion as referred by the president of India.
