Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly has passed the Appropriation Bill for the year 2011 with voice vote amidst opposition protests on the last day of the Budget session today. Insisting that the Appropriation Bills should be taken up to avoid constitutional crisis as it should be passed by the upper house of the legislature, State Finance Minister A Ramanarayana Reddy moved the Appropriation Bills and the House has passed them without discussion. The opposition parties including Telugu Desam, Left parties, MIM and BJP were insisting that the debate on land allocations to Special Economic Zones which was taken up on Monday must be carried forward before the government introduce the Appropriation Bills. Earlier, proceedings of the Assembly have been disrupted following wielding of placards and sloganeering by the opposition demanding the Joint Legislature Committee to look into misappropriations in land allocations. The ruling benches on the other hand demanded an enquiry over alleged links of state political leaders with Hasan Ali.
