In Andhra Pradesh, ahead of crucial meeting convened by the Home Ministry in Delhi on Tuesday over Telangana issue, hectic parleys are on among the political leaders belonging to both Telangana and Coastal and Raylaseema regions. Leaders from both sides cutting across the party lines are holding separate meetings to formulate action plans to effectively articulate their feelings in support and against separate Telangana state. Telangana leaders have decided to send a group of leaders to Delhi prior to the meeting to articulate their views. Meanwhile, MLAs from Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema regions have convened a meeting in Hyderabad today to discuss the strategy to be adopted by their representatives in Delhi meeting. The Joint Action Committee for Unified State is also meeting today in Vijayawada to discuss its future course of action while, Rayalaseema Joint Action Committee is also meeting in Tirupathi to deliberate upon the issue. On the other hand, students are arriving in large numbers in Hyderabad to attend the Student Public Meeting being organised by the students’ Joint Action Committee of Osmania University today in favour of Separate Telangana state. Tight security arrangements have been made in this regard as the student conclave has been permitted with stringent conditions on the directions of the State High Court. The meeting has to be concluded before 6.30 in the evening and political leaders and Maoists are not being allowed to attend.
