India’s largest tourism destination, Andhra Pradesh has launched a major campaign to increase the tourist inflow from the GCC countries. A buyer seller meet aimed at promoting tourism in the state was organized in Dubai ON Wednesday. Addressing the gathering, the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Minister, Mr. Vatti Vasant Kumar said the state provides a wide variety of tourism options. He urged the tour operators and the travel industry in Dubai to market the tourist hotspots like Hyderabad, Vizag, Golconda, Anantagiri ,Araku valley, Bora caves etc. in addition to pilgrim tourist pots like Tirupati and Puuttuparthi. Infrastructure and facilities have been organized at all these places with the active contribution of the Private sector.The State Special Chief Secretary Chandana Khan said that the accessibility and availability of accomodation in Andhra Pradesh has improved a lot . She invited the tour operators and travel agencies to promote a vast array of tourism destinations in the state.The Air India has recently launched a new flight from Dubai to Vizag. Direct flights connect Andhra Pradesh to all major GCC Cities which makes it more viable option for the tourists.
