In Andhra Pradesh, agitating junior doctors have called off their strike temporarily following fruitful talks with the Government.State Medical Education Minister Murali Mohan has held talks with the representatives of junior doctors late last evening that continued till the early hours today.Later, junior doctors told media that they are calling off the strike temporarily as the Government positively responded over their 11-point demands, including hike in Stipend and issuing guidelines for rural services. They said the agitation will be completely called off only after the Government Orders pertaining to their demands issued. Medical Education Minister said arrangements will be made to issue GOs after discussing junior doctors’ demands with the Chief Minister.With this, the emergency medical services at the Government teaching hospitals across the state will be resumed today.
