The Andhra Pradesh High Court today rejected the bail petition filed by Kadapa Lok Sabha Member Jagnmohan Reddy in connection with the disproportionate assets case against him. The bench comprising Justice Seshasaina Reddy dismissed the bail plea filed by the Y S R Congress president citing the earlier directions given to the CBI by the Supreme Court. The High Court also said the petitioner can seek bail afresh from the lower court once the final chargesheet was filed pertaining to seven cases against him and the lower court can take an independent view over the petition.
Jagnmohan Reddy is presently on judicial remand in Chanchalguda central jail in Hyderabad ever since he was arrested in May last year in connection with the disproportionate assets case.
