AP HC grants 2 more days CBI custody of Jagan Reddy

The Andhra Pradesh High Court has granted two more days CBI custody of Kadapa Lok Sabha Member Jaganmohan Reddy today. The High Court has issued orders extending two days custody, tomorrow and the day after, over the petition filed CBI.

The CBI plead that the limited period of five days was insufficient to get full information about the complicated financial transactions of the businesses of Jaganmohan Reddy. The five day custody of Jaganmohan Reddy ended yesterday. He is presently on Judicial Remand till 11th of this month.

Meanwhile, the CBI has called BCCI Chief and India Cements Managing Director N Srinivasan for questioning in connection with disproportionate assets cases against the Kadapa MP Jaganmohan Reddy. The CBI has also issued notices to MDs of two other cement companies, Penna Cements and Dalmia Cements to appear before it in this connection.
The CBI is probing the alleged investments made by these companies in the business promoted by the Kadapa MP in return to the benefits offered to them during the tenure of YS Rajshekhara Reddy as Chief Minister.
