The Andhra Pradesh High Court today directed the CBI and Enforcement Directorate to conduct investigation into the assets of TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu. A division bench of justices Ghulam Mohammed and Nooti Ramamohan Rao gave the direction for investigation on a petition filed 17th of last month by YSR Congress honorary president and Pulivendula MLA Y S Vijaya. Late Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy's widow Vijayahad filed the petition seeking a probe by the CBI and the EDagainst Naidu on various counts. On a tour of Vizianagaram district in north-coastal Andhra, the former Chief minister Chandra Babu Naidu, said, the petition is politically motivated and intended to defame him and tarnish his public image.
