AP govt. to withdraw cases against TRS president

In a bid to ease the tension prevailed in Telangana region, the Andhra Pradesh Government has decided to move a resolution in the Legislature Assembly making it clear that Hyderabad is not a free zone as far as employment is concerned. The state Government has also decided to withdraw cases against TRS president K Chandrasekhara Rao. Addressing a press conference after holding an emergency informal Cabinet meeting in Hyderabad today, Chief Minister K Rosaiah said the Government would move a resolution seeking withdrawal of point 14-F that gives ambiguity on the status of Hyderabad in the Presidential Order. Stating that the Government has already filed a review petition against the judgment given by the Supreme Court that Hyderabad is a free zone, the Chief Minister has said the resolution might come up for discussion in 2-3 days as the winter session of Assembly will commence tomorrow.<br/><br/>Stating that all the cases registered against Chandrasekhara would be withdrawn, the Chief Minister has asked the TRS President to call off fast and extend cooperation in restoring peace and tranquility in the region. Stating that the Government would fulfill its responsibility in maintaining law and order, he appealed the agitators to cooperate for maintaining order as the police are only maintaining restraint all these days.
