In Andhra Pradesh, emergency medical services continue to be paralyzed at all Government teaching hospitals with Junior Doctors continuing agitation.The talks between the Group of Ministers and representatives of Junior Doctors held last evening have failed.Senior Minister Gita Reddy told reporters that Murali Mohan who took over medical education portfolio recently needs some more time to resolve the issue. The Junior Doctors wanted their demands including hike in stipend and clear guidelines on working in rural areas, to be fulfilled immediately. The critical medical services have been severely hit with Junior Dictors boycotting emergency services since Friday evening. The state Government has pressed into services about 600 medical officials as an alternative measure. The concerned district collectors have been asked to ensure running of emergency medical services.
