AP: Demonstration continues in favour of separate state

In Andhra Pradesh, protest demonstrations continued today in favour of separate state even as the Joint Action Committee of Student organisations decided to intensify the agitation for Telangana state. The Committee also decided to hold a student convention in Hyderabad on 3rd of next month. It has demanded the Government to start the process for carving out Telangana state immediately and issue a clear time frame for bifurcation of the state by the 12th of next Month. Meanwhile, indefinite hunger strike is continuing by students of Osmania University in Hyderabad.<br/> Meanwhile, efforts are on to sink differences between political parties who are part of the Telangana Joint Action Committee. Following discussions held by the JAC convener Prof. Kodandaram, TDP leaders belonging to Telangana region attended the JAC meeting to further discuss the strategy to sphere head the agitation on the Telangana issue.<br/> On the other hand, BJP has decided to launch Jai Andhra movement in Vijayawada tomorrow. Stating that it would help creating awareness among the people about bifurcation of the state, the BJP State Unit president B Dattatreya demanded the Government to drop cases against the agitators.<br/> Congress Ministers in Andhra Pradesh cabinet belonging to Telangana region who had sent their resignation letters to Congress President Mrs. Sonia Gandhi reached Delhi this evening. They have come to Delhi seeking the Centre to give a clear time frame for carving out Telangana state. They met senior Congress leader Mr. S.
