In Andhra Pradesh, the police have completely lifted the curfew imposed in Madannapet and Saidabad areas of the old city of Hyderabad following improvement in the situation. However, Section 144 of the Indian Penal Code has been put in force in these areas prohibiting gathering of five or more persons at any place. These restrictions will be in place for four more days. Following clashes between two groups, curfew was clamped in these two areas on the 8th of this month.
