An Andhra Pradesh court on Tuesday issued arrest warrant against Indian Cricket Captain M.S.Dhoni for allegedly hurting religious sentiments of a community.

A local court in Anathapur directed the police to present Dhoni in the court on 16th next month following his lack of response for its three summons.

Dhoni was portrayed as the god on the cover page of a magazine last year holding products of different companies including shoes.

A local lawyer had filed a petition alleging that the cricketer hurt the sentiments of a community.

The court issued arrest warrants as the summons issued by court three times were returned.
