Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy is all set to resign today as his efforts to prevent state bifurcation yielded no results. He held a meeting with some of his cabinet colleagues in Hyderabad today over the future course of action. He had been telling that he will resign once the discussion over the bill commences in Parliament.
State Law Minister E. Pratap Reddy told reporters after the meeting at the Camp Office that the Chief Minister will resign this evening. Meanwhile, the officials at the chief minister’s office informed that all his official appointments were cancelled. Hectic activity is also seen at Raj Bhavan in Hyderabad.
Meanwhile, Pradesh Congress Committee President B. Satyanarayana and several Ministers from Seemandhra region left for Delhi.
