AP CM meets senior party leader, discusses current political situation

On his maiden visit to Delhi after taking over as Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, K Rosaiah met senior party leader Veerappa Moily and discussed the current political situation in the state among other issues. After arriving in the capital on Friday evening, Rosaiah drove straight to Moily's residence, who is also the incharge of party affairs in the state. Rosaiah is understood to have discussed the Congress strategy for the upcoming Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation polls and convening of Congress Legislature Party meeting. The Congress High Command is under pressure from party MLAs to convene the CLP meeting immediately to condole the death of late Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy. Speaking to reporters at the Airport on his arrival, he said, as election dust has settled, he has come to meet party president Sonia Gandhi, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and other leaders and will seek help from the Centre for flood relief.
