Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy tendered his resignation from his post and primary membership of the Congress Party.

He alleged that injustice has been done to Telugu speaking people and violation of democratic practices has taken place during the passage of the state re-organisation Bill in the Lok Sabha.

Before leaving for Rajbhawan, Mr. Ready said this at a Press Conference in Hyderabad a short while ago. He strongly condemned the state bifurcation and opposed the whole process adopted to carve out the Telangana State.
