In Andhra Pradesh, the Telugu Desam Party has bagged majority in the urban civic polls in the state while Congress has won a considerable number in Telangana region. Out of 145 Municipalities, TDP emerged as a winner in 65 municipalities, most of them in Seemandhra region, and Congress bagged 21 municipalities. TRS has won 8 Municipalities in Telangana, while YSR Congress 17 in Seemandhra region.

Out of 2571 wards in Seemandhra region, TDP bagged over 14 hundred wards followed by YSR Congress 930 and Congress confined to 53 wards. In Telangana region, out of 1399 wards, Congress won 526 followed by TRS with 313 and TDP 161.

The results of the rural civic bodies will be announced today.
