In Andhra Pradesh, campaigning for Lok Sabha and assembly elections has reached the highest pitch in Telangana region. The polling for 17 Lok Sabha and 119 Assembly Constituencies will be held on 30th April.
Top leaders of all major parties are busy on their last leg of electioneering in the region today as the campaign will come to a close this evening.
They have used all types of publicity that ranges from hi-tech modes like 3-D live hologram shows, blogs, portals, emails and SMSs to conventional ways like door-to-door campaign to reach out to the electorate.
Their Helicopters, custom-made mini buses, rail and even tri-cycles crisscrossed the Telangana region. During the campaign, top leaders of all major parties competed with each other in claiming credit for carving out new Telangana state which is officially coming into existence on June 2nd.
The seizure of huge unaccounted cash to the tune of 125 crore rupees indicates the heavy inflows of money into the democratic process of election in the state. Election authorities are making elaborate arrangements to ensure free and fair polling.
