In Andhra Pradesh, the Telengana Rastra Samithi is inching forward to retain all its seats for which its elected members have resigned in 2009. The TRS has bagged 4 out of 12 Assembly Constituencies by noon. PCC President D Srinivas has been defeated by the BJP candidate Lakshminarayana by 12,000 votes in Nizamabad Urban.State Chief Electoral Officer I V Subba Rao has said in Hyderabad that the TRS candidate Harish Rao won Siddipet Constituency with 95,858 margin while Koppula Easwar of TRS has won Dharampuri (SC) segment with 58,854 margin over their Congress opponents.The TRS candidates have won Chennur (SC) and Vemulawada segments but official declaration is awaited. According to preliminary reports from 5 segments where polling was held through ballot paper, TRS is leading.Meanwhile, Chief Minister K Rosaiah has said in Hyderabad that he would respect the verdict of the people of 12 assembly segments where bye-polls were held.
