In Andhra Pradesh, three-member teams have been formed at grassroot level to monitor implementation of the Election Code of Conduct during Bye-elections to be held on 12th of next month. Formed for the first time, these teams will be headed by an official and also consist a videographor. The state Chief Electoral Officer Bhanwarlal told reporters that these teams will ensure strict compliance of the Code of Conduct in the respective mandals. Bye-poll is being held for one Lok Sabha and 18 Assembly constituencies in the state following resignation of the sitting MP from Nellore and disqualification of sitting MLAs. The authorities in 12 districts are making fool proof arrangements for the by-poll.
