In Andhra Pradesh, the Telangana Rastra Samithi (TRS) is inching towards retaining the seats for which its members resigned in 2009. TRS has retained Siddipet and Dharmapuri constituencies and leading in 8 more seats with over 10,000 votes. According to the indications from preliminary rounds of counting of votes, Pradesh Congress President D Srinivas is trailing behind his BJP opponent Lakshminarayana in Nizamabad Urban segment. The counting of votes is going on through EVMs in 7 constituencies while ballot papers are being counted in remaining 5 segments.
