Andhra Pradesh Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu presented a deficit budget for the current fiscal today in the State Assembly. Presenting the first budget of the TDP government after a gap of ten years, he proposed an expenditure of 1 lakh 11 thousand 824 crore rupees during the 2014-15 fiscal. This included a planned outlay of 26,673 crore and non-plan outlay of 85,151 crore rupees.Stating that the bifurcation has posed major challenges to the residuary state, the Finance Minister said there will be 6,064 crore revenue deficit with fiscal deficit reaching 12,064 crore rupees.The first ever General Budget of Andhra Pradesh, post bifurcation has proposed several new schemes.Among them, the NTR Sujal Scheme will commence from October 2nd onwards in 5000 Panchayats and Roshni and Makan-Dukan scheme for Minorities. The Budget proposals also include SC sub-plan with 2657 crore rupees and ST Sub-plan with 1150 crore rupees. The Finance Minister made allocations to complete 39 irrigation projects which were in their final stage of construction and improving infrastructure facilities at the urban areas to enable Smart Cities.
