AP Assembly stalled for 4th day over land allotments to SEZ

The proceedings of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly have been stalled for the fourth day on Monday with out transacting any business over Land allotments to Special Economic Zones in the state. Demanding the appointment of Joint Legislative Committee, the opposition Telugu Desam members have stalled proceedings. Deputy Speaker N Manohar has adjourned the house for some time twice amidst uproar by the opposition members who thronged the speaker’s podium. The Legislative Affairs Minister D Sridhara Babu has said the Government would give a detailed statement after which the opposition can discuss the matter. Major Industries Minister J Geetha Reddy said the Government would not set up a JLC without discussing the issue. Deputy speaker adjourned the house till tomorrow when the situation remained unchanged even as the house reassembled for the third time.
