AP Assembly proceedings stalled over ‘No Trust’ motion

The Proceedings of Andhra Pradesh Assembly have been stalled today with the main opposition Telugu Desam party demanding the 'No Trust' Motion to be taken up for discussion immediately. The Telangana Rashtra Samiti, TRS members also obstructed the proceedings, demanding that a resolution should be introduced on the statehood for Telangana. As soon as the House met in the morning on the 2nd day of the Winter Session, the opposition members thronged Speaker's podium. Raising slogans in favour of 'No Trust' Motion and Telangana, the opposition members displayed play cards in large number.They virtually gheraoed the Speaker and prevented him from holding any business. Amidst pandemonium, Speaker Manohar adjourned the House twice for a brief period.
