In Andhra Pradesh, Telangana Rastra Samithi party cadre and Telangana Students Joint Action Committee on Saturday intensified their agitation demanding statehood for Telangana. They staged protests and dharnas, took out rallies and pelted stones at several places in all the 10 districts of the region. Several state Road Transport Corporation buses have been damaged. Agitators have staged dharna before the houses of several Congress and Telugu Desam Party leaders seeking their support for separate Telangana.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, fasting TRS President Chandrasekhara Rao has been shifted to Intensive Care Unit in NIMS hospital in Hyderabad after his health deteriorated today. A team of doctors headed by Dr B Prasada Rao is constantly monitoring the health of the TRS leader. Despite the state government urging him to withdraw his ongoing stir, TRS president has refused to give it up till UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi announces a clear-cut statement on the process of separate statehood for Telangana. Security has been tightened at NIMS hospital and at vulnerable places in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad.<br/>
