Defence Minister A K Antony took stock of overall security situation in Jammu and Kashmir in Srinagar on Saturday. He chaired a meeting of unified commanders in which all aspects of the latest situation were deliberated upon.

Prior to this meeting with senior officers of Army and other security agencies he also had also meeting with state Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.

During the meeting the issue of revocation of armed forces special power act from parts of the state was also discussed.
Earlier after his arrival in Srinagar on a two day visit of the state Defence Minister visited some forward areas in Uri sector.
